Day 13: Intro to Combinations and Counters: Ouchi Gari

Join us tuesday for a special class on combinations and counters. Differentiated Instruction for Judoka of all skill levels.


Beginning Judoka:

OGoshi to Ouchi Gari

Counter Tani Otoshi with Ouchi Gari


Returning Judoka / Continuing Judoka:

Ouchi Gari to forward throw

Ouchi Gari to backward throw

Forward throw to Ouchi Gari

Backward throw to Ouchi Gari


Dan Skills:

Ouchi Gari to Osoto Gari

Ouchi Gari to Tai Otoshi

Ouchi Gari countered with Ouchi Gaeshi (Hiza Guruma) The Great Jeon shows Ouchi Gari to Tai Otoshi. This is a classical combination that when done right produces great results and when done wrong, gets you thrown backwards. Take special note of the delays and repositioning Jeon takes. Note his waza has 3 key stages. moving uke, attacking with ouchi, and repositioning and attacking with tai otoshi.
