Day 11: Judo's Jab

Ouchi Gari (Major Inner Reap) is commonly called Judo's Jab. This technique is key for nearly all ages and weights and ranks. Ouchi Gari is a major scoring technique as well as a great set up or follow up to various techniques. Because of this versatility, Ouchi Gari regularly appears as top judoka's favorite technique (tokui waza) or a technique they use to set of their favorite technique.

Beginning judoka: learn ouchi gari


Returning judoka: refresh yourself on ouchi gari


Continuing judoka: work ouchi gari into your drill, combination, or counter. You may also focus solely on ouchi gari but do so with movement.
