The Shodan Exam (as well as all Dan grade exams) requires a completed activity log. A sample exam as well as blank documents to be completed by the Iikyu student for promotion to Shodan are linked below.

Shodan Exams require a kata fulfillment. While Nage no Kata is the most common Kata performed by students; Katame no Kata or Ju no Kata are accepted alternatives
